How eBay handles reports.

Rights owners report through eBay's Verified Rights Owner (VeRO) program by submitting a Notice of Claimed Infringement, through the VeRO Portal or by email. Agents acting for a rights owner add a letter of authorization. eBay typically responds within one to three working days.

Do I need to join VeRO to use Valigard?

No. Valigard searches and reviews listings without any eBay membership. To file a Notice of Claimed Infringement, you must be the rights owner or act for one, with a letter of authorization.

Does Valigard search eBay sites outside the US?

Yes. A worldwide search includes national eBay sites such as ebay.de, ebay.co.uk or ebay.ca wherever your photos appear. You can also limit a search to up to 10 countries.

What if the listing ends before eBay reviews my notice?

Valigard keeps a saved, timestamped copy of the page with its price and seller, and marks the listing as gone. If it comes back, it is flagged as relisted.

Can Valigard file the VeRO notice for me?

No. Valigard prepares the details and the text to send. You submit the notice through eBay, then log its status and case number in Valigard.
